Overview
Rivvi is built on the belief that your personal data belongs to you. We collect only what we need to help you organise and join pickleball sessions within your networks. We do not sell your data. Ever.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated by your use of the App.
- Account information — your name, email address, and profile photo provided through Google Sign-In when you register.
- Profile information — skill level, preferred session types, and PayID (if you choose to add it for session payments).
- Session data — sessions you create, join, or are waitlisted for, your attendance history, cancellations, and no-shows.
- Reputation data — a reliability score calculated automatically based on your attendance behaviour (showing up, timely cancellations, late cancellations, and no-shows).
- Device information — device type, operating system, app version, and push notification tokens for delivering notifications.
- Usage data — features you use and in-app actions, collected to improve the App.
How We Use Your Information
- Enable session creation, joining, waitlists, and attendance tracking.
- Calculate and display your reputation score to encourage reliability.
- Send push notifications about sessions, waitlist updates, and attendance reviews.
- Display your PayID to session hosts for payment coordination (only if you have added it).
- Improve the App through anonymised analytics and crash reporting.
- Comply with legal obligations.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited cases:
- Other users — your name, profile photo, skill level, and reputation score are visible to other users in sessions and networks you belong to. Your PayID is visible only to hosts of sessions you join where a fee applies.
- Service providers — trusted third parties who help us operate the App (hosting, database, push notifications) under strict data processing agreements.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users.
- Business transfers — in the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may transfer to the new entity under the same privacy commitments.
Third-Party Services
Rivvi uses the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:
- Google Sign-In — for account authentication.
- Supabase — database, authentication, and serverless functions.
- Expo / EAS — app build, update delivery, and push notification services.
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the App's Settings screen. Upon deletion, your personal data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

Children's Privacy
Rivvi is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS), secure database access controls, and row-level security policies to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of Rivvi after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
